is based on a real-life comfort dog whose mission is giving aid and comfort to those in need and teaching kids and adults about living a life with compassion.
Aidan the Hugging Goldendoodle™ follows the journey of one dog’s search for his purpose in life. Endowed with the heart of a Golden Retriever by his mother and the intelligence of a Standard Poodle by his father, Aidan is sent into the city by his parents to discover the power he wields to do good things with his natural gift for compassion. Aidan struggles at first, then makes friends along the way that change his life—and theirs—forever.
Kids and parents will love the quality and generous 10” x 10,” square formatting of this gloss-laminated, hard-cover book. Colorful illustrations and a kid-friendly type font make Aidan a fun read for any age. Best of all, Aidan’s journey sets the perfect stage for sequels! With your support, we’ll be able to follow Aidan as he makes friends, forms and grows his “Aidan Comfort Movement” and carries it across the country, and with your help, the world!
Copywriter Amy Albright and Art Director Jim Carlson met at Leo Burnett in Chicago in 1976. After years of careers creating campaigns and commercials at various ad agencies, including their own, they met Aidan and knew it was time to fulfill an aspirational dream—kid’s books.
Aidan the Hugging Goldendoodle™ is based on Aidan—a real-life comfort dog and Goldendoodle—under the ownership and loving handling of Samantha Kandah. Hugs to them both for the opportunity.
Amy and Jim crossed paths with Aidan and owner Sam and new it was time to fill a long-desired dream of creating books that teach empathy, compassion, and other life lessons to kids through fun and positive characters and messaging.
Note from Tim: I want to hold off on publicizing the foundation for now. It’s important that we get it properly established first (the IRS is somewhat quirky about such things…) before we publicize it. I would expect that we would be good to go on the Foundation sometime late in the first quarter or early in the second quarter of 2021.
